Christmas Sugar Cookies

Let’s kick off the holiday baking season with a Christmas cookie classic.

Nothing beats Christmas sugar cookies made from scratch !!

We’re using my classic sugar cookies and decorating them up for Christmas!

Ingredients Cookies

3/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon almond extract

2 and 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

Easy icing or just use food colouring Instead

1 and 1/2 cups icing sugar

1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1 teaspoon light maple syrup

2 – 2.5 Tablespoons of water

pinch salt

Prep Time: 2 hours

Cook Time: 10 minutes
